There were times where I felt that the movie wasn't quite as sophisticated as I was expecting in the CGI, or dialogue/acting/directing. Nevertheless the film is entertaining and gives us a view of what the near future might be like. (3. 5/5) The blu-ray also has a documentary about how the movie came about which is narrated by the director. There are so many humanity issues that this movie exposes. Overall This movie left me with a happy-sad feeling. The storyline is done well and even though this seems to be a non-Hollywood movie, it is just as good or better than good Hollywood movies. I will list some of the things that this movie depicts (Spoilers): -in this future, instead of migrant workers physically crossing the border and being exploited (worked) in person at a location, the workers work virtually through robots in long shifts.

Compleat with very good CGI effects, art direction, concept and writing/direction. In short, a fine film. It seems that many countries (most-recently China, Japan and Korea) are now producing very sophisticated films; watch out Hollywood! This is a topical science-fiction drama which spins the Mexican worker phenomenon into the near future, personalizing a good many aspects of their increasing education, many political and ethical issues. All the while putting forward all the the action American/Western audiences can hope for. In a way, it reminds me of Bruce Willis' recent, superb SURROGATES. Reviewed in the United States on March 24, 2015 Verified Purchase This film was a nice breath of fresh air when I saw it at Sundance. Seeing something with classic sci fi themes, but also something dealing with contemporary border issues and drone issues, something with inexpensive but believable effects, made me smile. I like this little political movie where little people kind of get to stick it to the man, and I often teach it to my students when discussing postmodernism and science fiction.
