While I appreciate subplots and character-based episodes, with the rest of the season feeling so rushed, I wonder if they really were needed. The finale itself, however, is where all the problems really show. Hippolyta returns and helps save Dee, her daughter, who is justifiably angry with her for leaving her alone to the literal demons of racism (who were actually incredibly creepy, that episode rocked), but her concerns are never treated as such. Hippolyta chose to leave her daughter and instead stay in her afro-futuristic utopia, which is a pretty selfish thing for a parent to do, but hey, she gave Dee a robot arm so I guess it's all good? She also has a bad habit of taking Dee along on incredibly dangerous road trips, including the finale where the LEFT A CHILD IN THE MONSTER INFESTED WOODS. Apparently one of the major themes of the show is "Parents fucking suck" because literally every parent in the show is awful. Speaking of Dee, after being left in the woods and getting a pet Shoggoth (don't ask), she returns to find the villain, Christina, trapped under rubble after the gang had just magically depowered her and stopped her ritual to become immortal.

Terror in the woods season 1 episode 4.0
The trouble is, I live with 3 roommates who somewhat understandably don't care as much as I do about this. They burn candles and incense, and one smokes inside occasionally. I have asked them to at least close their doors on and turn on the AC fan while doing these activities, but they forget and just generally don't take it very seriously. Overall, I am just very anxious about my kitty's health. I know this is in part a problem of the environment in not ideal with my roommates, but it is also because I don't feel very supported by the vet. I don't know how to tell if a coughing episode is mild, or if it needs emergency treatment. I don't know at what point I'm supposed to take her back to the vet. The next course of treatment is unclear and the two vets gave different answers but neither seemed very confident in the next steps. So the fact that the environment remains unideal and that she is not receiving ongoing treatment is adding up to make me very nervous for her all the time. My questions are: Should I get a second opinion about the asthma diagnosis?
I explained her symptoms and showed the video linked above. The vet watched a second of it and then said I could put it away. He listened to her lungs and said he heard wheezing on the right. He did an x-ray and noted airway inflammation on the right middle lobe. I don't have the x-ray, unfortunately. They did not do any bloodwork. The vet said that she has asthma, and she would get a steroid injection as well as an antibiotic injection to clear up inflammation. He said if the symptoms didn't resolve, she would need to be on daily oral steroids. He said inhalers exist but are only for cats with the most severe asthma. This seemed a little off to me, since I know inhaled medications target respiratory conditions better, and long-term oral steroids can have serious side-effects. They gave her the injections and asked to see her a week later. A week later, her lung sounds were apparently clear. He said she may need injections again seasonally. He gave no advice on when to return or when she may need another shot.
Ho-ho-ho! 🎅 I bring you another nostalgia post about the Winter of 2009-10. Please enjoy, and feel free to share what you remember fondly about the winter of 2009-10, or how you relate to it, etc. Also feel free to let me know on what I may have missed out or left out in the description. Students at the college math center celebrate Christmas. Elementary school-aged kids sing in a Christmas concert. A high school ensemble plays a Christmas carol. A group of high school kids raise a fundraiser to help aid the Haiti relief efforts. An audience watches Avatar with 3D glasses in Jan 2010. At age 20, Taylor Swift wins 4 Grammy awards, and is awarded Album of the Year in Jan 2010 for her album Fearless. Winter 2009-10 ❄️ Events that happened but are not limited to: Obama announces that the military will be sending an additional 30, 000 troops to Afghanistan to prevent further Taliban insurgencies. The troop surge is set to begin in January. (Dec 1), Obama orders federal government to take over an Illinois prison to house prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, this is a large part of Obama's plan to shut down the infamous prison facility which was started in 2002 during the War on Terror (Dec 15) Obama comes to an accord with leaders from 4 other nations on how to combat climate change, fund money into poorer nations that are impacted more greatly by global warming, and set a goal to limit global temperature rise to 2 degrees above Celsius preindustrial levels.
As a kitten, she would vomit afterward and I came to think the cough was a pre-vomit thing. For at least a year, she has been coughing like this without vomiting, though she does occasionally (1/month) vomit clear liquid. Clinical signs: characteristic cough and posture (here is an example, not my cat but very similar to what happens to her:) Duration: 1. 5 years, 1-3 times a week, 30-60 seconds at a time Recently I realized what I thought was innocent hacking of hairballs was actually respiratory distress. My dog passed away following a serious episode of respiratory distress resulting from lar par we didn't know he had, while he was on on week 12 of CHOP protocol for lymphoma, evidently in CR. Since then, I feel especially anxious when it comes to the health of my cat, but especially for breathing-related issues, I feel this cold kind of terror when they happen. So, I just want to make sure I'm doing the right things here. I took my cat to the vet in September. I moved to San Jose from North Carolina in July, so this was her first time seeing this vet.
